Hardwood Floor Restoration

Many people use the terms hardwood floor restoration and hardwood floor refinishing interchangeably. However, they are actually two different terms. Hardwood floor restoration can consist of hardwood floor refinishing, but it can also consist of more than refinishing entails. If you have pulled up your carpet and revealed hardwood flooring, if you live in an older home with old hardwood, or if your existing hardwood has been damaged, restoration can help to restore the floors to their beautiful, original look. This may include replacing any damaged planks or boards, sanding down the floors to remove scratches or imperfections in the wood, and/or staining the floors to help add color and vibrancy to them.
